New Building Policies

Category:

Just a quick "tid-bit" for people looking to move into a new building.

In British Columbia, new condo policies dictate that 10% of all new building must accommodate seniors and their needs.

Examples of these are:

  • wider interior halls;
  • plugs and switches will be installed higher;
  • Extra back boarding for handle supports in bathrooms.

This is all good news, as every building should be able to accommodate anyone.

To find out more about the new condo policies in your area, please contact your local City Hall.
